Frankie Lee Jenkins Flowers Morant, 82, passed on Friday, May 17, 2019. She was born to the late Alfred Flowers, Sr. and Ethel Payne Flowers in Hickory, NC on February 8, 1937. She attended the local Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools and was a graduate of Carver High School Class of ’58.

Her heart was full of caring thus she operated her own in-home daycare. During her Christian walk, she joined in fellowship with St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church in 1965 where she was a faithful member. She found solace singing on the Mass Choir, working in the Nursery and as a member of the Trustee Aide and the Shaw Missionary Group.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph H. Morant, Jr.; siblings: Jacqueline Archie, Kay Freemen, Edward Jenkins, Bobby Myers, Thomas Barnes and Barbara Wiggins. She leaves to cherish her memory, brothers, Alfred Flowers, Jr. (Gloria), Henry “Billy” Carter (Dorothy); devoted friends, Deborah and Dasheka McLean and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 12 noon Thursday, May 23, 2019 at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 5000 Noble Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 with family moments of sharing at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service After which, her precious frame shall be coach to the serenity of the Gardens of Memory, 5676 Old Walkertown Road, Walkertown, NC 27051.

Her remains will repose for public viewing today, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem Chapel. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Frankie Lee Jenkins Flowers Morant please visit our Sympathy Store.
