Mrs. Barbara Diane Coleman Buie, 84, of Tredwell Drive, slipped from this earthly home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her residence. She was born on November 19, 1934 to the late James W. Watson and Geneva Bennett in Forsyth County, North Carolina. She matriculated through the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System and was a graduate from Atkins High School Class of ‘52.

Barbara was a gifted woman and served as the pianist for Morning Star Baptist Church for many years. She lived a legacy of service to humanity thus, she was also active in E.S.R under Louise Wilson; a register for Forsyth County Board of Elections for many years; President of the Cleveland Avenue Homes Council; Founder of the V.I.P. Club in Cleveland Ave. Homes.

Before there was a homeless shelter Barbara opened her home to many teenagers. A Service of Remembrance will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from the chapel of Roberts Funeral Service, Winston-Salem.
