Edward’s Obituary Mr. Edward Skinner, affectionately known as “Goody Stick” was a native of Lake City, South Carolina. He was called home Monday May 27, 2019 at his residence He attended the public schools in Winston-Salem, NC and upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After faithfully serving his duty to our country, he later found employment at the W.R. Vernon Produce Company Inc

He retired after 30 plus years from W.R. Vernon Produce Co. Survivors include his children, Darnette(John) Ashford, Kerry L. (Kindra) Worthy, LaShonda Rickard, Carlos Williams. Juan Pearson, Equiena Scott, Tiffany Martin and Laquanda Norwood all of Winston-Salem, NC ; one brother, Lucius Skinner; one sister Ella Marie Ray both of Winston-Salem; one aunt, Vera Moses of Pinehurst, NC; one sister-in-law, Pauline Skinner of Winston-Salem, NC; devoted grandchildren, Demorris (Tori) Hood, Jamarl Rickard, Edward Skinner aka”Little Eddie”, Jasmin Ashford, Briannah, Ciarrah, Diamond Rickard and McKinzie Peak all of Winston-Salem; other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday June 1, 2019 in the chapel of Hooper Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am-11:00 at the funeral home.
