Virginia Ann Holmes Dukes, 72, was called home on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Accordius Health at Lexington. She was born May 12, 1946 to Willie Holmes and Christine Reid Holmes Frazier. The funeral service will be Wednesday at Files Chapel Baptist Church at 2:00pm with family visitation a half hour before the service.

Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. She was a faithful member of Lexington Christian Fellowship Church and retired from PPG Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Ervin Frazier; her husband, James Dukes; two brothers, Willie and Thurman Holmes and a step brother, James Frazier.

She is survived by five sons: Vernon “Pete” Holmes, Charles (Evette) Holmes, Jerome Dukes, Tyrone (Tanisha) Dukes and Marcus (Raynicia) Dukes; four brothers: Grady Holmes, Albert R. Holmes, Milton Holmes and Alfred Holmes; a sister, Mattie Mack; three step-brothers: Billy Frazier, Norman Frazier and Terry Frazier; two step sisters, Shelia Frazier and Brenda Dewitt; 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends.
