Janie’s Obituary Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Roberta Pruitt, 76, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from the Silver Springs Baptist Church. The Reverend Wayne Hall will officiate. Mrs. Pruitt, a resident of Dayton, Texas, died at her residence on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

She was born April 4, 1942 in McEwen, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Edgar Rufus and Annie Bell Sherrell Smith. She was a truck driver and a member of Silver Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Pruitt enjoyed working in the soup kitchen and spending time with the elderly.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Harrell Pruitt and one sister, Dale Frances Webb. Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her children: Sheryl Moss; Robert Pruitt; and David Pruitt. Two sisters: Ora Waiblinger and Winnie Moret.

Grandchildren: Janie Moss; Rebecca Moss; Kaitlynne Moss; Samantha Pruitt; and Kevin Pruitt. Great-grandchildren: Aidan Moss; Lillie Moss; Michelle Pruitt; and Trent Tyler Hudgens, Jr. One nephew, James Frazier. One niece, Donna Fraziernie.

Burial will be in the Silver Springs Cemetery with Hartman-Hughes Capps Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 9 till service time at 11 at Silver Springs Baptist Church.
