John Bernard (J.B.) Trent, 71, of Hallie passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. John (J.B.) was the son of the late Osie and Oma Holbrook Trent. Surviving his death is his wife: Devonia Mae Eldridge Trent; 2 sons; John Keith Trent and Walter William Trent of Hallie; daughter-in-law: Virginia Lynn Trent of of Hallie; 3 sisters; Ethel Asher of Hallie, Juanita Cornett of Perry County, Bonnie Mize of Perry County; 4 brothers: Carl Trent of Perry County, Earl Trent of Leslie County, Jackie Trent of Perry County, Donnie Trent of Knott County along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

John (J.B.) was preceded in death by 2 brothers: William (Billy) Trent, Oscar Trent, and stepmother: Tina (Tiny) Trent. Funeral: 1:00 O’clock P.M. Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Scottie Halcomb, Danny Dixon, and Jim Fields officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the Cole – Griffie Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
