Obituary for Jean Newman Jean Newman, 60, of Bristol, VA passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in Texas on November 5, 1957. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Vest and a sister, Janie Vest.

She was a native of Texas but had lived in Bristol, VA most of her life. She attended Fellowship Chapel Church. She had driven a bus for Bristol, TN transit and had worked for Barb & Shumaker Inc. Jean is survived by her husband of 39 years, Wayne “Buster” Newman; mother, Dorothy Vest; and one sister, Judy Vest.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol, TN with Pastor Scott Price officiating.
