Jean V. Lucius Age 94, of Massillon, passed away Friday April 27, 2018. She was born Nov. 18, 1923 in Massillon, a daughter of the late Lester and Gertrude (Winkhart) Geis and was a life resident of the Canton/Massillon area.

She was a 1941 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. Jean retired in1987 from Ford Motor Co., after 27 years service, where she was a payroll accountant in the Payroll Dept. She was a former long-time member of Calvary Presbyterian Church where she taught a Sunday school class 21 years and served as an Elder and Deacon.

She now is a member of Westminster Community Church, A.A.R.P. Chapter #316, an active lifetime member of the American Heart Association after many years service, and served on the Board of the American Cancer Society almost 20 years. Besides her parents, she also was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Lester E. Geis, Jr., and Mary Rohr, grandson, William Renner, and niece, Gail Harter.

Jean is survived by two daughters, Linda Rizzo and Patricia Renner, one son, Gary Lucius and Debra Barner; seven grandchildren, Stefanie (Freddie) McCrae, Barbara (Ryan) Wagner, Emily (Andrew) Burnison, Andrew (Taneia) Renner, Jean (Dennis) Byers, Robert (Lori) Lucius, and Marilyn Lucius, 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Westminster Community Church with Rev. Dr. Allen Brown officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
