Jeanette V. “Babci” Wytovich, 93, of Port Carbon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street. Born at Bobb Alley, Cumbola, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Hadala Kania. She was the widow of Edward Wytovich.

She was a member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Port Carbon. Jeanette was formerly employed as a secretary at Alcoa, various garment factories and was last employed by the former Manor Care in the activities department. Jeanette enjoyed many hobbies.

She was a good baker and sold her baked goods. She loved get-togethers with family, especially Fourth of July, Christmas Eve and family picnics on the farm. She was proud of her Polish heritage and made the best pierogies and halupki.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Kania, Theresa Leonard and Frances Novorolsky, and brothers, Thaddeus and Casimir Kania. Jeanette is survived by a son, Edward Wytovich, husband of April, Ashland; three daughters, Susan Moyer, wife of Howard, New Ringgold, Karen Wytovich, Royal Palm Beach, Fla. , and Nancy Wytovich, Port Carbon; grandchildren, Stephanie, Christen, Sarah, Thomas and Melissa; great-grandchildren, Addie, Will, Calvin, Emma and Grace; brother, Frank Kania, Endicott, N.Y.; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Port Carbon, with Monsignor William F. Glosser and the Rev. Christopher M. Zelonis officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held at 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Port Carbon Fourth of July Firework Fund. Interment will be held privately in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
