Jeanne Elva Sommerville, age 90, died June 3, 2018 at St Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born in Coatesville, PA May 10, 1928, daughter of the late William and Rachel (Wright) Long. Jeanne married Edward Sommerville on April 24, 1948; they celebrated 70 loving years together before his death on April 10, 2018.

Jeanne is survived by her four children: Linda (Bill) Bakash, Cleveland, WI; Susan (Thomas) Snodgrass, Menasha, WI; Daniel (Sharen) Sommerville, Wheaton, IL: James (Amy) Sommerville, New London, WI; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Jeanne and her husband founded Sommerville Sign/Sommerville Flags in 1948 and continued to run the business together for 70 years. She will be missed for her lifetime of being a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

She had a contagious zest for life and loved every minute she spent with her family. She loved to cook, entertain, and keep a house a home for everyone to enjoy. She loved the Lord and daily reaffirmed her faith by reading God’s word and communicating it through her life.

She will be greatly missed! ! A private family service will be held.
