WOOTAN – Jeannine Wootan, age 87, of Suwanee, Ga. , passed away on Monday evening, September 10, 2018. Her burial will be Thursday, September 13, 2018, in The Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, Rex, Ga.

A memorial service will take place on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at 3:00PM at Bill Head Funeral Home, Duluth Chapel. Born in Waco, TX, raised by a Baptist pastor, married to a Baptist pastor, she spent her life in service to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a homemaker, a pastor’s wife, a piano teacher, a choir director, a church pianist & organist, a teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages.

In retirement she was finally able to be the missionary that she felt called to be. Until her health began to decline, she spent her time volunteering with Georgia Baptist Woman’s Missionary Union as well as going on mission trips to Liberia, Ivory Coast, Alaska, France, Germany, Costa Rica, Venezuela, South Korea, and Panama. Preceded in death by her husband, Rev.

Harry P. Wootan, Jr., she is survived by children, Harry P. Wootan, III (Debbie) of Pelham, AL, Janis Cornelia Wootan Batson (Brian) of Lawrenceville, GA, John Odell Wootan (Tina) of Tyrone, GA, and Daniel Craig Wootan (Shea) of Atlanta; grandchildren Bonnie Wootan Davidson (Jaime) of Pelham, AL, and Michael Hays Batson (Mary) of Sandy Springs, GA; great grandchildren Miles Alexander Davidson and Jude Morgan Davidson.
