It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one, Jeffery Overesch, on May 23, 2018, after a hard fought and courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born on September 22, 1961, the son of Joseph and Janice (Neuser) Overesch. He grew up in Menasha and attended schools there, graduating from Menasha High School in 1979.

His career in printing began there, with a special teacher, Gary Farrell, who later became a dear friend. Jeff was employed at Menasha Corporation, Neenah, until the onset of his illness. On November 30, 1991, Jeff was joined in marriage to Julia Bergomi, at St. John the Baptist Church, Menasha.

Their lives were blessed with a daughter, Shannon, and a son, Benjamin, whom he loved dearly and in whom he took great pride. Jeff loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, always with a great respect for the environment. He had many hobbies including woodworking, taxidermy, gardening, grilling for the family, reading, and music.

He loved spending time, in summers, at the cottage in Moshawquit Lake and in Door County, with his brother Steve and their families. Jeff was a man of integrity and a generous heart. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Julia, his children: Shannon and Benjamin, his mother, Janice Overesch, his dear sisters: Jean (Tom) Wagner; Kathryn (Bob) Selingo, his dear brother, Steve (Dawn) Overesch, his nieces and nephews: Dr. Ryan Wagner; Sarah (Juan) Mereno; Emily Wagner (Fiancé Erik Butzen); Lauren Selingo; Hayden Selingo; Breanna Overesch (Fiancé Jake Recamp); Landon Overesch; and Nick Overesch, a great niece, Mila Mereno, Jeff’s Mother-in-law, Elenor Fenlon, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Erna Neuser, Joseph and Caroline Overesch, his father, Joseph Overesch, and his father-in-law, Joseph Bergomi. The Mass of Resurrection will be 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at ST. GABRIEL CATHOLIC CHURCH, 900 Geiger St, Neenah, WI 54956, with Fr.

Larry Seidl officiating. Friends may greet the family at the church Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., with a time of family reflection that will precede the funeral mass at 4:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Jeff’s family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Xin Yao, his nurses, and staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, as well as Niki, Ann, Jenny, Jessica, and nurses from Ascension Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
