Jeffrey P. “Woodsy” Woods, 58, Altoona, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 16, 2018, at his residence. He was born November 1, 1959, in Altoona, son of John Patrick and June E. (Anderson) Woods. He married Tina M. Mountain.

Surviving are his wife, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage; two daughters: Alison Woods-Auerbeck and husband, Tyler, of Pittsburgh and Andrea Boyles and husband, Thomas, of Altoona; a son Michael V. Turiano II of Altoona; six grandchildren: Angelina, Alexis, Elijah, Alivia, Easton and Amelia; his father; a sister, Susan P. Lingenfelter of Hagerstown, Md. ; and a brother, Timothy P. and wife, Kathy L. of Hollidaysburg. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Jeffrey was a 1978 graduate of Hollidaysburg Sr. High School and he played football with the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers. He was employed by Pepsi Co. as a customer representative and a member of the Frankstown Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and Jeffrey was an avid Golden Tigers football fan and attended all their games.

He enjoyed all sports. Friends will be received from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Father Clement G. Gardner officiating. Interment will be at New St. Mary Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
