Obituary for Jeffrey Mann Jeffrey Scott Mann – Dungannon, VA Jeffrey Scott Mann, 56, Dungannon, VA passed away, Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Mr. Mann was born in Sullivan County, TN on November 11, 1961. He was the son of the late Scott Mann and Lucy Mann.
Jeff was a 1980 graduate of Twin Springs High School. He was employed several years with Louisiana Pacific Corporation in Dungannon as a shift supervisor and was currently employed with CSX Railroad as an engineer and conductor. He was an animal lover, enjoyed being outdoors, and vacationing at the beach.
Jeff was kindhearted and will be greatly missed. In addition to his father, his maternal grandparents, J.H. and Myrtle Hensley; paternal grandparents, Walter and Mary Mann; and his fiancée Michelle Addington preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Lucy Mann, Dungannon, VA; sister, Teresa Sluss and husband, Wayne, Nickelsville, VA; nephew, Jordan Sluss, Wise, VA; an uncle to whom Jeff was a caregiver, Harold Osborne; extended family, Ernie, Helen and Gabriel Addington, Gate City, VA, Judy, Amy and Ace Addington, Keystone, IN; several aunts, uncles and cousins; along with special friends, Glenda and Stanley Byrd, Sherri Davidson, Robin Hillman, Barbara Hubbard and Sandy Pearcy.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Beavers officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018 in the Osborne Family Cemetery in Dungannon, VA. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. to go in procession to the graveside service.
