Obituary for Jerry Bigler Jerry Allen Bigler, 85, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 20, 1933 in Shippensburg, PA. Jerry was a son of the late Roy O. and Sarah Zeigler Bigler.

He was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg. Jerry retired from Hoffman Mills after 43 years. He was a member of Cumberland Valley Lodge # 315 F&AM, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Valley Forest #145, Minnequa Social Club, Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, and a 50 year member of the Hub City Club.

Jerry was a graduate of the former Shippensburg High School. He is survived by his wife Peggy A. Holtry Bigler; four children, Gordon J. Bigler and his companion Edna Miller, Robin A. Van Art, Tina M. (Timothy) Hamilton and Sara Jane (Marlin, Jr.) Johnson all of Shippensburg; four grandchildren, Nathan J. Van Art, Jared A. Hamilton, Janay M. Hamilton and Emily K. Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Leon, Gordon and Glenn “Jack” Bigler; and one sister, Janet Fuller.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be The Rev. Steven M. Livermore and The Rev.

Dr. Francis H. Norton. A Masonic service will be conducted Monday at 12:30 p.m. and the visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 30 S.
