Jerry Dale Wood, 72, of Julian passed away February 28, 2019. He was born February 14, 1947 and was a son of the late Alden and Clarice Wood. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Matthew; and sister Cathy.

He was a retired teacher and attended Olive Baptist Church. He was a U.S. veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Kay McKinney Wood; sons, James Wood and Jonathan Wood; daughter, Megan Collins(Lindsey); sister, Diana Woods; brother, Tim Wood; grandchildren, Jessica, Kyla, MaKaya, Riley, Lorelai, Madison, and Lincoln.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Adam Hanna and Josh Clay officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. You may express your condolences to the family at www.
