Jerry’s Obituary Jerry T. Schill, 74, of Thayer, passed away at 4:49 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Emergency Room at Labette Health. He was born April 11, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to Francis Joseph and Ann Marie (Gradijan) Schill. As a young boy, he moved with his family from Ohio to Florida where he attended school and graduated from Palm Beach High School.

On August 5, 1967, he and Ernestine “Tina” C. Zorr were married in Lake Worth, Florida. While living in Florida, he worked for a telephone company and various electric companies. In 1976, the family moved to Thayer where they made their home.

While living in Thayer, Jerry worked in construction, installed siding, and most recently worked as a machinist at Dayton Superior until retiring in 2007. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and playing with his dogs.

He was a “jack of all trades” and could do anything. Jerry was a loving and giving man who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include: His Wife – Tina Schill, of the home One Son – Keith Schill of Independence, KS One Daughter – Lori Weaver and her husband, Brian, of Thayer, KS Three Grandchildren – Bryant Weaver and his wife, Kristine; Abby Weaver, and Bailey Weaver Three Great-Grandchildren – Joanne, Jace, and Jenavieve Weaver He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack Schill and James Schill; and four sisters, Pat Bogner, Rosie Wald, Mary Wollam, and Peggy Schill. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial will follow at Mt.

Olivet Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends immediately following the rosary at the funeral home.
