Funeral services for Jerry Lout, 61, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin, with Dr. John Greene and Rabbi Tim Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Lout was born November 30, 1956 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of J.W and Faye Vaughn Lout, and died Friday, October 12, 2018 in Lufkin.

Mr. Lout loved watching movies, playing with his dog, Bjorn, and riding his scooter. He was always happy and smiling. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Beard of Lufkin; nephew Steven Tanner Turner of Lufkin; nephew Taylor Turner of Huntsville and niece Madison Turner of Huntsville.

Mr. Lout was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Greg Sims, Lance Hall, Kyle Spradley, John Howell, Steven Tanner Turner, and Kendall Mahar. Honorary pallbearer will be Barry Clark.

In lieu of flowers, special memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 15, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
