Obituary for Jimmy Pope Print James Thomas “Jimmy” Pope, Jr. of Linden, AL died January 27, 2019 at his home. He was born November 11, 1950 in Selma, AL. He was the retired owner of Saltwell Grocery Store.

. He was a member of Linden United Methodist Church and a member of Linden City Council, District 3. He is survived by his wife, Denise Perry Pope of Linden, AL; son, Christopher Jason Pope (Kellie) of Auburn, AL; daughter, Carrie Elizabeth Pope (fiance’ Mike Carr) of Cedar Hill, TN; sister, Elizabeth “Beth” Vice Cargile (Drew) of Gallion, AL; three grandchildren, and two nieces.

Visitation will be held at Linden United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time. Burial will follow at Linden Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to: the Linden United Methodist Church, 401 North Main Street, Linden, AL 36748, Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517, or the donor’s favorite charity.
