Jo “Granny Jo” Bunch, 65, of E. Fiesta Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Carlsbad Medical Center. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, December 3, 2018 at Carlsbad Cemetery with Pastor Dennis McKinley officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Jo Bunch was born June 9, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico to Laurence F. and Rita A. (Johnston) McCormack. She worked as a waitress for many years in many restaurants, most recently at the Stevens. Jo cherished her four-legged friends and it could be argued that she loved her animals more than her children, but not more than her grandchildren.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; Bobby Bunch; daughter, Diedra Darrough; grandson, Josh Brown; great-grandson, Lucas Hernandez and brother, Eddie McCormack. Survivors are her daughters: Shawnna Reed and husband, John of Seminole, Texas, Bobbie Jo “BJ” Santo and husband, Brian of Carlsbad, NM, Tommie Bunch of Carlsbad, NM and fur babies, Itty and Osa; grandchildren: Justin Heath, Darian Jenkins and husband, Jonathan, Tatum Wetherington, Zachary Wetherington, Sharma Wetherington, Jonathan Hernandez, Anthony Santo, Kelsey Santo, Chelssea Bratcher and husband, Dustin and Brianna Santo; great-grandchildren: Kynlee, Mae Mae, Myla, Mia, Camden and Bendyl; sisters: Delores Hutcheson and husband, John, Vicki Schrock and husband, Keith and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be James Bunch, Linda Chumley, Jackie Griffin, Raymond Blanton, Jerry Hand, Johnny Wright, Yancy Davis, Chuck Shelton and all of her other Bros.
