Obituary for Joan Braun Frichter Joan Braun Frichter passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the age of 84. Joan was born and grew up in Gretna, LA, lived in Arabi, LA until Katrina brought her back to Gretna, and lived at The Landing at Behrman Place in Algiers, LA. Preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Leon Frichter, her parents, Henry C. and Cornelia Hertz Braun, her brothers, Henry Andrew and Fernell Melvin Braun, and sister-in-law, Violet Pleassala Braun.

She is survived by her nieces, Shelia Braun Booksh (Sidney) and Cynthia Braun and great nieces and nephews. Step mother of Judy and the late Arnold Frichter, Jr. Grandmother of Heidi Frichter Bennett (Troy), Gretchen Frichter Adams (Travis), and Arnold Frichter, III, and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law, Mildred Schlumbrecht, and lifelong friends, Dolores Lea and Jeannine Ward.

Relatives and friends of the family, also residents of The Landing at Behrman Place are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy. , Harvey, LA on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
