Joan C. (DeMello) Wright, 80, of Cranberry Village in Carver, formerly of Brockton for 30 years, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2018. Native of Quincy, she was a true matriarch devoted to her family and home. Joan enjoyed handcrafting crocheted family heirlooms and was a dedicated participant in the walks for American Cancer Society.

She was the beloved wife of Herbert A. Wright Jr. for 61 years; loving mother of June Sardelli (and Richard) of Scituate, Herbert Wright III (and Marie) of Brockton, Sandra Wettergreen (and Donald) of Abington, Lori Wright (and Steve Doyle) of Quincy, Patti Morris (and Robert) of Bridgewater, James Wright (and Jane) of Halifax and Scott Wright (and Louann) of Pembroke; grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of 7; sister of Dorothy Gordon of NH, Albert DeMello of NH, Alan Koufos of Mendon, and Anna ElTourry of Quincy and others who passed; and an aunt of many. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. and her funeral Friday at 10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and burial at Blue Hill Cemetery.
