Obituary for JoAnn Nation JoAnn Brown Nation, age 75, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at her home in Newnan surrounded by family. JoAnn was born in Fayette County, GA on May 14, 1943 to the late Cliff and Stellie Betsill Brown. Along with her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by her son, James Edward Nation and sisters, Dorothy Brown and Margaret Bailey.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Nation; children, Teresa (David) Stephens of Newnan, Melissa (Mike) Wulf of Newnan, Jason (Stephanie) Nation of Newnan; grandchildren, Whitney Harper, Morgan Stephens, Rebekah Stephens, Casey (Alison) Tarpley, Andrew Tarpley, Hunter Tarpley, Brandon (Jenna) Wulf, Emily Wulf, Andy Wulf, Oliver Wulf, Landon Nation, Alaina Nation of Newnan; great grandchildren, Connor Harper, Mason Harper, Adeline Tarpley; brothers, Charles (Net) Brown, Walter (Bonnie) Brown and many numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service is Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 1 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1504 Macedonia Road, in Newnan with Dr. John Riley officiating. The burial will follow the service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 6390 Church Street, in Riverdale.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 PM until 8 PM at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made in JoAnn’s name to Macedonia Baptist Church, 1504 Macedonia Road, Newnan, GA 30263.
