79, of Johnston, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston. She was the beloved wife of the late Giacomo Palumbo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Rose (DeFilippo) Basilico.

She was the loving mother of Giacomo Palumbo, Jr. of Bucharest, Romania, and Loriann Mello of Johnston; cherished grandmother of Matthew Palumbo, Jacklyn Chavarria and great grandmother of Jacob, Preston and Brandon Chavarria. She was the sister of the late Sylvia DeSimone and Anna DiCenso. She also leaves her four-legged granddaughter Jenna.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. , Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. George Maronite Church (formerly St. Ann Church), Cranston. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery Mausoleum, Cranston.

VISITING HOURS are Wednesday morning from 9 – 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
