Obituary for Jody Hall Zimmerman LATHAM, NY Jody Hall Zimmerman, 66, left this plane of existence on March 5, 2018, and headed home on angel’s wings. Born July 5, 1951, the first of six children, Jody lived in many places in the U.S., from the West Coast to the East Coast. She was born to Mary Dorothea (Macomb) Hall and the late Joseph Francis Hall.

Her siblings are Denise, Nina, Douglas, Antonia, and Jonathan, Jody’s youngest brother (an angel among us, who passed after a long 3 ½ year battle with a brain tumor). Jody is also survived by her five children and grandchildren: Jennifer; son William and wife Dana and their three children, Julia, Charlie, and Jack; and by son Dana and wife Marinell and their two children, Liam and Liza. Her darling husband, Dr. Earl Abram Zimmerman, and Jody brought two other children into the world, Sarah and David and his Sarah.

The first half of Jody’s life was filled with many adventures, including sailing, traveling and adventuring. She studied interior design at The New England School of Art and Design; nutrition at the University of Connecticut; writing at Harvard; and landscape maintenance and design at Portland Community College in Oregon. At age 59, Jody had a session of Healing Touch, which changed her life.

For the rest of her life, Jody devoted herself to contributing to the wellness and peace of others and to only contributing positive energy waves to the rest of humanity. Jody had this to say about her bucket list: “There is a whole list of places that I might go. But, I’ve been to too many and in some way they are all the same.

My bucket list is about being the best that I can be. I want to open my heart to all and be fully accepting without hesitation. I want to be a calm presence that can receive the universal energy in the best and clearest vessel that I can create.

I don’t need to go anywhere I’ve been. I would like to be unconditionally loved by my children and live by the ocean again, before I go home”. Funeral will be private.

A celebration of life event will be announced at a later date. Contributions can be made in her memory to Ocean Conservancy, 1300 19th Street NW, 8th Floor, Washington, DC 20036; www. oceanconservancy.org To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jody Hall Zimmerman please visit our Sympathy Store.
