Obituary for Lorraine Kowalski Cohoes, NY Lorraine Frances Kowalski, 75, of Cohoes, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2018. Lorraine is survived by her children Richard Kowalski Jr. of Cohoes, Lisa (Steve) Watts of Porter Corners, Laura Lin of Clifton Park, and Michael Kowalski of Clifton Park; her siblings Lois LeBeau and Linda LeBeau, Francis (Tanya) LeBeau, Fred (Carol) Bestle, and Ginny Zullo; her grandchildren Tarra Kowalski, Sean (Trisha) Mahoney, Alec (Chelsea) LaFleur, Ashley Lin, Ryan Lin, Matthew Kowalski, and Mitchell Kowalski. Other survivors include multiple nieces and nephews, great grand children, and her dog Max.

Lorraine was pre-deceased by her husband of 54 years, Richard Kowalski Sr., her parents Francis LeBeau, Mary Bullock-LeBeau, and Catherine Bestle-LeBeau, her brother-in-law Victor Kowalski, her grandson Trevor Lin, Joe Bestle, and Bill Zullo. Lorraine was born on November 9, 1942 in Cohoes, NY. She graduated from Keveny High School in Cohoes in 1960 and then from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1963.

Lorraine worked as a Registered Nurse for 50 years including at Leonard Hospital, the Capital District Psychiatric Center, and the Albany VA. She married her high school sweet heart Richard on November 30, 1963. Together they enjoyed taking long drives on the motorcycle and drinking coffee along the way.

Lorraine also loved shopping trips, collecting dolls, and reading. She was dedicated to her family and her greatest joy was spending time with them. Lorraine was a very selfless, loving person.

She was always patient and kind, and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 12PM at Marra Funeral Home, 246 Remsen Street, Cohoes. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home from 10AM to 12PM on March 22, 2018.
