Obituary for Nancy “Anunziata” M. Marra Burnham Nancy “Anunziata” M Marra Burnham, 95, of Corinth NY passed away thursday evening at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was Born in Saratoga Springs NY to her parents Francis and Frances Marra on Nov 7th 1922. She graduated from Saratoga Springs high school and then Austin Beauty school.
She then moved to Corinth NY in 1941 to be a beautician. She also worked as a clerk and mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. She married the love of her life RIchard Burnham Sr. on June 29th, 1947 at St. Peter’s Church and they were blessed to have 57 years of marriage.
In 1959 Nancy and Richard owned and operated the Belvedere, in Corinth until 1968. Nancy was involved in many organizations throughout her life that she truly enjoyed. She was an avid knitter and made many wonderful things for family and friends.
She is survived by her son Richard F Burnham Jr and his wife Patricia, three daughters Jaqueline M Burnham, Eileen M Bennett and her husband James, Teresa M Melville and her husband George. Eight Grand Children Nikki (David), Amy (Todd), Andrew, Zach (Amanda), Frank (Jen), Rebecca (Vince), Issac and Chandler. Fourteen great grand children Melissa (Eric), Dustin, Kory, Tyler, Alex, Tyler, Richard, Mary, Noah, Kennedy, Johnathan, Vincent, and Waylon.
Two great great grandchildren Rylan and Adalynn. Her sister Phyllis Crocker and her husband Allan,Her brother in law Harold Nuckols. Her special cousins Josie Natale, Marcia Hellwig and Barbara McDonald, her exdaughter-in-law Diane, Long time friend Florence Kingsley and her special friend Susie who loved and cared for her.
She was pre deceased by her husband Richard Burnham Sr, and her sisters Mitzie and Marion. She was the kindest person with the warmest heart. If you didn’t know her by her name you knew her by her colorful outfits so in honor of Nancy her family asks that you wear your favorite color on Wednesday July 18th .
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday July 18th at 11:00 am at the Holy Mother and Child Parish, 405 Palmer Ave Corinth NY. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Corinth following the service.
Nancy will be riding to her final resting place in her little red beetle that she loved. A celebration of Nancy’s life will take place at the Holy Mother and Child Hall 405 Palmer Ave Corinth NY, after interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Holy Mother and Child Parish at 405 Palmer Ave Corinth NY 12822, The Community Cupboard at 64th St. Corinth NY 12822, or The Community Hospice Foundation Gift Processing Center at 310 S Manning Blvd Albany NY 12208.
