Joe Hood, of Pesotum, died Saturday February 23, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Born June 15, 1950, he was the son of Bob and Shirley Hood who preceded him in death. He is survived by wife Sharon (Hearn) and sons Guthrie and Jake; sisters Joyce (Livesay), Jeri (Marshall), and Juli (Krantz) and granddaughter Kamilla.

Joe was self-employed. The fortuned gained was of little merit, but he placed high value on working with friends so many years. He was always mindful of those who dealt with him kindly through respect, generosity, or simple tolerance.

His pleasures included traditional music, books with footnotes, rural sensibilities, and unsolicited civility. OK then. Private services will he held.
