Obituary for Joel Mulkey Mr. Joel Allen Mulkey, 83, of Cartersville, died on Monday, July 23, 2018 at Erlanger Hospital in Tennessee. He was a native of Bartow County, born September 21, 1934, to the late Elijah Mulkey and Beulah Atkinson Mulkey. Mr. Mulkey was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching cowboy movies on TV, especially Bonanza. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his wife, Brenda Jenkins Mulkey; his children, Joe Frank, Lewis and Linda Mulkey. Survivors include his children, Lloyd Mulkey and wife Tracy, Harvey Mulkey, Martha Davis, Mary Mulkey, Amy Jordan and John Mulkey and wife Janey; his daughter-in-law, Tina Mulkey; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with John Mulkey officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Davis, Harvey Mulkey, Christopher Mulkey, Gerald Mulkey, Lee Brawner, A.J. Mulkey, Raymond Campbell and Trenton Davis.
