OBITUARY Mr. Thomas “Tom” Joseph Logan September 9, 1947 – July 11, 2018 Mr. Thomas “Tom” Joseph Logan, retired Restaurant Manager, age 70 passed away on Wednesday July 11, 2018. “Tom” was born September 9, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan. Tom was in the restaurant and hospitality industry for 35 years.

He was a General Manager for Rustler Steakhouse, Marriott’s Great America theme park, University of Chicago Medical Center, The Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesday’s and Steak & Shake. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served with the 2nd Marines from 1965-68 as a Battlefield Hospital Corpsman 3rd class. There was a special place in his heart for Sailors and Marines especially Navy Corpsmen and Marine Riflemen.

He was very proud of his service to his country and was a member of American Legion Post 42 in Cartersville, Georgia. In his last few years of life, Tom volunteered to read to terminally ill veterans in hospice care and at Georgia gun shows, raising money for the Armor For Troops charity. Tom is survived by; son Joseph Logan; daughter Krista Campisano; son Jeffrey Logan and grand-children Emily, Bella and Charles.

Tom was preceded in death by his father Joseph Lawrence Logan; mother Emma Logan (nee McFadden); brother Joseph Lawrence Logan Jr.; and sister Laura Koukoudian. A visitation for Tom will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 27, 2018 at 9:30 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 814 West Ave.
