John’s Obituary Our own “character,” Our funny man, Our sweet, spirited son John, on loan to us for 50 years, has gone Home. John A. Malin, of Perkasie, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 11, 2019. John touched hearts wherever he went.

He was gentle, sweet, and full of joy. He loved to laugh. He loved pizza, knock-knock jokes, corn-cob pipes, Frank Sinatra, Saint Joseph, his Uncle Mint, and just about everything life had to offer.

People were drawn to him because he saw only the best in them. Born in Camden, NJ, he was the son of Patrick J. and Blanche K. (Krug) Malin, of Perkasie. He was a graduate of Pennridge High School in Perkasie and the Upper Bucks Vocational-Technical School, where he was the Valedictorian of the Special Education Class of 1990.

John was employed by BARC, Quakertown, PA, during the 1990s, and later participated in activities there. He was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA. Surviving with his parents are a brother, Patrick J. Malin, Jr., of Providence, RI; two sisters, Marilyn M. Malin and her husband Josh Kalata, of Moorestown, NJ, and Marie T. Malin and her husband Morgan “Wing” Goodale, of Rockport, ME; and two nephews, Ian Malin and Cedar Goodale.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lori Malin DiMedio, in 2009. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until 12:15 PM. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The family cordially invites everyone to celebrate John at a reception afterwards. Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
