William Emerson’s Obituary William Emerson Gahman, of Bedminster Twp. , passed away in the Community at Rockhill, Sellersville, PA, just two days short of his 87th Birthday. He was the husband of Dorothy W. (Bartholomew) Gahman.

The couple would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on April 25, 2019. Born in Plumstead Twp. , he was the son of the late William S. and Naomi (Derstine) Gahman.

Emerson worked as a mason most of his life, having worked for Elmer and Donald Strouse Masonry, Danboro, PA for 48 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed working with his hands, having built his own home. After his retirement, he built his own Woodworking shop at his home, making cabinets and toys.

He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Deep Run Mennonite Church West, Bedminster, where he served as a trustee, served on the cemetery committee and was an usher. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Thomas L. Gahman and his wife Beatrice, of Riegelsville, PA, R. Scott Gahman and his wife Christine, of Bethlehem, PA, Debora Gahman, of Bedminster Twp.

and Jeffrey A. Gahman, of Independence, IA; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers, Willard Gahman, of Albrightsville, PA and Clyde Gahman and his wife Joanne, of Orefield, PA and two sisters, Geraldine Ruth, of Souderton and Bette Christman and her husband Merle, of Souderton, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Clifford and Ronald Gahman and a sister Annamary Detweiler. Memorial services will be announced shortly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deep Run Mennonite West Church, 1008 Deep Run Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.
