Maria’s Obituary Maria M. Vicente, age 93, of Quakertown, formerly of Harleysville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Francisco Vicente, with whom she shared over 57 years of marriage. Born February 19, 1926 in Meimoa Penamacor, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Joaquim Pires and Josefina Moreira.

Maria spent her life as a home maker and care giver. When she immigrated to the United States she worked as a presser at Easton Clothing in Souderton. She enjoyed her retirement by spending time with and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She loved crocheting and cooking for her family. Her passion was her family and she cherished the times they spent together. She is survived by her daughter Josefina Vayssouze; 2 of her siblings, 5 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Dulce Matos, 5 siblings and two grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 11 AM on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Christ Lutheran Church 2211 Mainland Road, Harleysville, PA 19438, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
