Edna’s Obituary Edna Rose Fleer, of Perkasie, PA, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, PA. She was 78. Born in Abington and raised in Richboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Tanner) Fleer.

A 1958 graduate of Council Rock High School, Newtown, PA, she attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from East Stroudsburg State Teachers College, East Stroudsburg, PA, in 1962. Ms. Fleer began her career as a physical education teacher with the Quakertown School District, Quakertown, PA, where she taught from 1963 to 1968. Then, she taught at the Council Rock High School from 1968 until retiring in 1997.

A member of the Quakertown Chapter of the AARP, she enjoyed playing volleyball and doing puzzles, particularly crossword. A nature lover, she was especially fond of animals and gardening as well as tending to her home. She is survived by three sisters, twins Joan Margaret Luff, of Southampton, PA, and Sarah Lorraine Atkins, of Forksville, PA, and Elizabeth Jean Anderson and her husband Thomas, of Allentown, PA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery of Richboro, Richboro, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Last Chance Ranch, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
