Charles’ Obituary Charles Joseph Gower, Jr., 62, of Temple, TX, formerly of Lansdale, PA, passed away on March 8, 2019. He and his wife, Lisa (Burns) Gower, would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on May 23rd of this year. Born March 23, 1956, in Augsburg, Germany, he was a son of the late Charles Joseph Gower and Sarah Wray (Williams) Gower.

He was a 1974 graduate of North Penn High School. Chuck worked in many locations and held several different jobs. He loved tending bar at many local Lansdale area bars including Rick’s Tavern, 5th Street Pub, Hatfield American Legion, and the Sons of Italy.

He worked at Wesco Products, and with Frank Donato. Chuck loved to go fishing, coin collecting, working in the local animal shelter and spending time with the many pets he had over his life. Chuck was an avid Eagles fan and was thrilled when his beloved Eagles won their first Superbowl.

He enjoyed watching all his Philly sports teams as well. His friends at Pinkney’s Garage will miss his visits where he would come in to have coffee and chat. Chuck loved to spend time with his grandson Hunter and FaceTime with Michael and Brody when he could not visit, and of course being at home with Lisa, Lyndsay and Hunter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Brigette Lynne Gower of Lansdale, PA and her children Carmen and Colton; son, Michael Blanc of Perkiomenville, PA and his son, Brody; son, Ryan Gower, and daughter Lyndsay Howeth and her husband, Brannon of Temple, TX, and their son Hunter. He is also survived by brothers James G. Gower of Quakertown, PA, Jeffery C. Gower and his wife, Joyce, of Telford, PA, Donald K. Gower and his wife, Kim, of Quakertown, PA, and Robert T. Gower and his wife, Cyndi, of Franconia, PA; and sisters Susan Wray Derstein and her husband, David, of Lansdale, PA, Nancy Jane Bartholomew and her husband, Ronald, of Springfield, Bucks County, PA, and Myrietta Ann “Dee” Gower of Towamencin Twp. , PA; four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George L. Gower; a daughter, Amanda Gower; a granddaughter, Cassandra Scotti; and many other relatives. Chuck fought hard to fight his cancer since his diagnosis last May. He was unable to overcome the complications of a difficult surgery.

We all will miss him. Donations and contributions can be made in his memory to the Temple Animal Shelter at 620 S. Momma Dog Trail in Temple TX. , 76504.

Rest in Peace, he has gone fishing!
