Obituary for John C. Hastings Jr. John C Hastings Jr.,58, died March 29, 2018 at his residence in Old Town, Florida. Mr Hastings was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 8, 1959, to John C. Hastings Sr. and Carolyn Baker Hastings. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his niece, Jennifer Kelly.

He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Hastings Christoffer and husband Walt of New Smyrna Beach, nephew John Kelly of Orlando and aunts Blanche Kirkland, Laura Camp, Martha Hastings, uncle Michael Morgan and many cousins. John graduated from The University of Florida in 1986 with a degree in Mechanical and Enviromental Engineering. He worked for the suwanee river water management for 25 years.

John loved following his Florida Gators, reading and serving as captain on many fishing boats. John was much loved by his family and friends and will greatly missed. Memorials may be made to the aspca as he had a great love for cats and animals or to a favorite charity.
