Obituary for John Christiaan deBlecourt John Christiaan deBlecourt, 61, of St. Albans went home to be with Jesus on December 12, 2018. John was born September 25, 1957 to the late Hans and Pam deBlecourt. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Peter deBlecourt and William deBlecourt.

John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He married his best friend, Katy, on June 2, 1979. He raised his sons in love and faithfulness, pointing them to God and teaching them to serve him wholeheartedly.

John is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn deBlecourt of St. Albans; sons Steven deBlecourt (Kira) of Harpersfield, OH and David deBlecourt (Morgan) of Mebane, NC; five grandchildren, Ayden, Rowan, Elliot, Solivan, and Charles; and many other extended family and friends. John was an example of strength and service both at work and at home. He worked as executive director for Believe in West Virginia and Storehouse WV, as well as volunteering with the Gideons and United Way.

He also faithfully attended and served at Community Church in Hurricane. John’s life will be celebrated during a service at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane, with Pastor David Bess officiating, assisted by Pastor Cameron Temple. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
