Obituary for John Francis McNamara John Francis McNamara, 86, of (2731 NE 14th St. Apt 725B 33062) Pompano Beach, FL died Monday December 10, 2018 in the Holy Cross Hospital Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was born December 19, 1931, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Frank and Mary (Brown) McNamara.
Prior to his retirement he was employed as a Contract Administrator at Westinghouse Electric, Forest Hills, PA. He was a member of the St. Gabriel Church, of Pompano Beach, FL He was a graduate of Duquesne University; member of the former Ancient Order of Hibernians Hazelwood, PA and a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers-in-law Bob and Richard Morgan.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years Cecelia R. (Panaia) McNamara, father of John P. (Cindy) McNamara, of Greensburg, Janet M. (Peter R.) Alfieri, of North Huntingdon, Frank P. McNamara, of Hempfield Twp. ; grandfather of Peter R. Jr., Anthony J. and Michael J. Alfieri, Jennifer L., Stephanie L. and Fallyn R. McNamara; brother of Catherine Morgan and Eileen Morgan; brother-in-law of Sally Panaia and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Ott Funeral Home Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue Irwin.
Parting prayers will be held on Saturday at 8:40 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in the Good Shephard Cemetery, Monroeville. To send on line condolences please visit www.
