John’s Obituary John H. Biermann, 96, of Lansdale and formerly of Abington, Doylestown, and Dalmatia, PA, died Monday, January 21, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire (Lindner) Biermann, who died July 11, 2010. Born November 12, 1922 in Cincinnati, he was the son of the late Katherine (Schatz) and John Joseph Biermann, Jr

Mr. Biermann worked as a Special Agent with the FBI for 25 years, retiring in the 1970s. A veteran of the US Navy, he served his country honorably as a Naval Aviator in the Pacific during World War II. John was a longtime member of Abington Presbyterian Church, Abington.

He was also an avid antique collector and was a member of the Wings of Freedom Aviation Museum, Horsham. He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Biermann Hartley (Gary) of Beckley, WV, and Doreen Dansky of Furlong, PA; and three grandchildren, Todd Hartley of Brooklyn, NY, Tara Dansky of Haddon, NJ, and Alexis Dansky of New York City. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald C. Biermann of Cincinnati, OH.

Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in John’s memory to the Wings of Freedom Aviation Museum, 1155 Easton Road, Horsham, PA 19044.
