John “Jack” Albert Nipko (1945-2019) Jack passed away Feb. 10, 2019 after a very short but courageous battle with liver cancer. Jack died at the age of 73, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Carolie Thompson Nipko; his children, Tucker Nipko (Sherry), Chet Nipko (Jamie), Brook Nipko (Amy), Robyn Clark (Brad), Jonette Garcia (Toby), Reeni Crowther (Lance), sister Mary Wade and brother Jeff Nipko. Jack is preceded in death by his brother, Tucker Nipko; his mother, Flossie Mae Alley Nipko and his father, Roy Nipko, DVM Jack was born in Salt Lake City, UT on June 18, 1945 to Roy A. Nipko, DVM and Flossie Mae Alley Nipko. Jack attended Christ Lutheran School, St. Marks College Prep and then Murray High School.

He then attended the Colorado School of Mines to study Mineral Engineering in 1963. He then began working as a project manager for many companies: The Clement Company, Research Homes, The Boyer Company, Nipko Construction, Panelera, Panelera Ontario Canada, Teton Shadows, Park Place Condominiums, and American TimberCraft. Jack married his high school sweetheart CarolieThompson on Dec.

27,1965. They were sealed together as an eternal family in the Salt Lake Temple on March 19,1976. The most important part of Jack’s life is when they welcomed into their life three wonderful sons and three beautiful daughters.

Jack now has 26 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Jack was a devoted father, an avid water skier, pilot and inventor. He enjoyed “high and wide” trucking, building and designing log structures that populate the Intermountain area.

Jack held many U.S. Patents, Patent #4,479,335, Patent #4,417,950, Patent #4,418,507, and Patent #5,058,343. Jack traveled to 18 countries. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects.

He was a spiritual man and was involved in many church activities. Jack was a teacher at heart, served as a Guest Service Missionary, and also as a Temple Worker. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the North Fork Ward Building, 4297 N 3300 E, Liberty, Utah. Friends may visit family Friday Feb. 15th from 6-8 at the church and an hour before the service.
