LaDawn Kay Johnson Cefalo Barton April 17, 1969 – February 6, 2019 LaDawn Kay Johnson Cefalo Barton passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 6, 2019. LaDawn was born on April 17, 1969 in Reno, Nevada. She was raised in Plain City, Utah by her parents Delbert and Judy Kay Johnson.

She graduated from Weber High School in 1987. In January 1989 she was married to Tony G Cefalo with whom she shared her five children Chelsie, Aarone, Krista, Misty and Amber. LaDawn enjoyed being a homemaker for many years and taught her children the importance of love, acceptance, and kindness.

She was later remarried to Carl Barton on October 9, 2010. With Carl she found new happiness and love. LaDawn had two grandchildren, Lucy and Mateo, who were the joy of her life.

She was always looking for ways to spoil them and loved to share their pictures. LaDawn’s greatest happiness in life were her children. She always made sure to tell them she loved them “to the moon and back” every time she talked to them.

LaDawn was also really good at making sure everyone around her felt loved and accepted no matter what. She was a social butterfly who made friends anywhere she went. Anyone who entered into her life was automatically a family to her.

She had many “adopted” kids and grandkids. Her smile, love, and friendship will be greatly missed by all who knew her. LaDawn is preceded in death by her grandparents, her two angel grandbabies, Liam and Peyton, and many others who she loved and treasured.

She is survived by her husband Carl Barton, and children Chelsie Staker (Nick), Aarone Cefalo (Madi), Krista Lynch (Landon), Misty Jimenez (Carlos) and Amber Cefalo; grandchildren, Lucy (Chelsie and Nick) and Mateo (Misty and Carlos); parents, Judy and Delbert Johnson; sisters, Debby Eatchel (Jason) and Darla Murphy; brothers, Cortney Johnson (Julie) and Mitch Johnson (Diane); and many other family and friends. We love you to the moon and back LaDawn. A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 5-6 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84404.

Funeral services will follow immediately after at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has setup a fund through America First Credit Union in the name of LaDawn Kay Barton to help offset funeral expenses.
