Judy Ann Stokes DeVries Judy Ann Stokes DeVries, 78, passed away on February 5, 2019 with her husband by her side, at her home. She was born to Asa Bodily Stokes and Naomi Rose Wadman on January 22, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up in Tooele and Brigham City.

Graduating from Box Elder High in 1959, she was a member of the B’ettes. She graduated in 1961 from Weber State College with an associate degree in nursing. She began her career at Dee Memorial Hospital.

She married Ross S DeVries on August 3, 1962 in Brigham City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Ogden Utah Temple on August 3,1974. Judy spent her life serving others: she was a dedicated nurse working with many agencies, touching many lives.

Mom was dedicated to her Savior, she loved the Lord. Mom spent many years, hours and lots of tears doing family genealogy. Many people were connected and blessed by her service.

She served as relief society, primary and young women’s president. She was a dedicated visiting teacher and was a ministering sister to the end. She wished to let everyone know how much she loved them and was thankful for them in her life.

She is survived by her husband, Ross, three children, Derek (Jodie), Darren (Jenny) and Debbie (Mike); ten grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Also, survived by her sister, Afton Leferre, and brothers Jay Stokes and Lynn Stokes. The family wishes to thank all who cared for mom during her life.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Pioneer Ward, 250 North 1500 West, Marriott Slaterville. Viewings will be held at the church on Sunday, February 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
