Linda Kenley Berrett Linda Kenley Berrett, 71, of Pleasant View, UT cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend returned home to heaven January 30, 2019 free of the physical pains and trials that she so courageously and valiantly fought. Linda was born January 16, 1948 in Ogden, UT to Glen and Yvonne Kenley being the third of six sisters with whom she shared a special bond. She graduated from Bonneville High School and soon after worked at Hill Air Force Base and later at the Ogden IRS for many years.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the peace she felt in the temple and its beautiful surroundings. She married Russell Berrett in 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have shared 50 wonderful years together!

Linda was blessed with 4 children who love her deeply. Robert (Kathleen), Nathan (Mindy), Andrew (Cindi) and Emily. Linda was a dedicated mother first and foremost.

She wanted the very best for her children and eleven grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandkids including reading stories, playing board games and taking them swimming. At a young age, she began her camping adventures with her grandparents to Yellowstone every summer.

She continued the tradition of adventures in the trailer with her own family. Linda and Russ fell in love with the sunshine and beauty of St. George making it their second home. Linda had a very caring and compassionate personality.

She had a genuine concern for others, even those she just met, always expressing gratitude for those who helped her in anyway large or small. Always classy and elegant, Linda loved to be surrounded by beauty. She had a passion and creative talent for interior decorating and design.

Another of her many talents was creating beautiful flower gardens full of vibrant color. Linda was an amazing cook and baker, known for her chocolate chip cookies. She loved to galivant and shop, always finding the best deals!

Her daughter Emily will dearly miss these shopping adventures. She enjoyed hosting summer barbeques and holiday parties. Linda and Russ were rarely home as they enjoyed long scenic drives and spending time with family and friends.

She felt fortunate to be blessed with many lifelong friends. She is survived by her husband Russ, sisters Elaine (Frank) Nielsen, Julie (Steve) Baird and Joyce Kenley. Linda was preceded in death by her grandson Colton, parents and sisters Carolyn Schreck and Marilyn Merrill.

Our sincere appreciation to the dedicated nurses and staff at McKay Dee Oncology for their tender care and friendship. Please join us in celebrating her life at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday February 6, 2019 at the Pleasant View 9th Ward, 3602 No. 500 W., Pleasant View.

Friends and family may call Tuesday, February 5th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden, UT 84404 and Wednesday morning 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment – Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden.
