Rochelle D Draney M Quade , December 03, 1946 — March 22, 2019

Rochelle D. McQuade, age 72, died on March 22, 2019 at home surrounded by her husband and family. She was born December 3rd, 1946 in Ogden , UT to Gene and Jenny Draney. She married the love of her life, John McQuade on April 23rd, 1967.

They spent 52 years building a life together and caring for their 5 children. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 7th, 1962. She enjoyed many years in the door to door ministry.

When her health limited her abilities, she continued to write letters and make phone calls to share God’s promises with others. She deeply loved her God Jehovah and taught her family to do the same. She was known for saying, “Always do the kind thing”.

Her life is a living example of 1Cor. 13:4 “ Love is patient and kind…. Love never fails”.

She spent a number of years as a reading tutor to grade school children. She also enjoyed writing poetry, keeping a journal and gardening. Above all, she derived the most satisfaction from caring for her children.

She always put their needs above her own. Her husband is fond of saying she fit the description in Prov. 31:29 “there are many excellent women, but you—you surpass them all”.

She is survived by her loving husband John McQuade. She is also survived by her sister and husband Sharon and Lonny Hicks, sister and husband Pam and George Oliveras, brother and wife Danny and Anita Draney, brother and wife Lewis and Pat Draney; her son Justin McQuade, her daughter and husband Gina and Mikey Mansfield, her son Chad McQuade, her son and wife Ryan and Savannah McQuade, her son and wife Ian and Becca McQuade; her 4 grandchildren: Stirling Matheson, Scott Matheson, Rowan McQuade and Vaughn McQuade. Please join us at a Graveside Service on April 2, 2019 at 2 pm at Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State St., Clearfield,UT.
