John Mitchell Cartrette, Jr., 45, of Westminster, Maryland, died suddenly on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Born August 15, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Carolyn Jean Dodge of Westminster and the late John M. Cartrette, Sr He was the step-son of David Brian Dodge of Crisfield.

Also surviving are sisters, Ashley Black of New Windsor and Amanda Smith of Hampstead; brother, Brian Dodge of Harford County; nieces and nephews, Ellie and Jett Black, Lincoln and Lawson Smith; several aunts, uncles and cousins, Paul and Chris Lamar, Crystal Palumbo, Tiffany, Timothy and Stacey Corbin. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Delmas “Woody” Wood officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
