John P. (Jack) Jones, 84, of Saegertown, passed away on October 20, 2018 at home. Jack was born August 1, 1934, in Meadville, to the late Clyde and Jessie Mae Ashurst Jones. He served in the Army from 1953 until 1956 in the Tank Division, 14th Armory Calvary.

He had his own Jones and Plumbing and Heating Business. Jack is survived by his son Ronald Jones and his wife, Johna, of Florida; a daughter, Diane Hanes of Meadville; five grandchildren; a brother, Richard Jones and his wife, Shirley, of Linesville; two sisters, Shirley Davis of Linesville and Peg Fry and her husband, Paul, of Conneaut Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Lyle, Leon, Nelson, Burt, Clyde and Bill; three sisters, Alese Stallsmith, Jessie Jones and Laura Jane Goldsmith.

Jack was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2006, American Legion 205 and Station 4 Firehouse Grill. Jack loved to play golf, fish, go camping and spend winters in Florida. As Jack wished, there will be no services.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Crawford County or Yolanda Barco Oncology Center. Interment was at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, Linesville.
