OBITUARY John Thomas David November 19, 1921 – July 22, 2018 John Thomas David, 96, of Hartford, beloved husband of the late Anna David, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2018. John was born on November 19, 1921 in New Britain and was the son of the late Thomas and Anna (Bitzkowski) David. John was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a proud member of the Sprinkler Fitters Union, Local #669 for more than 60 years. John is survived by his nephew, John Kurek of East Hampton, his niece, Donna Santamaria of Clinton, great-nieces, Christine Santamaria of Clinton and Michelle Santamaria of North Port, FL along with great great-nephew, Jaxon Kaman of North Port, FL. He also leaves his niece, Anne Zawilinski, who held a special place in his heart, as well as his union brother, Don Faucher.

In addition to his wife and parents, John was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley David, Thomas David, Jr., his sisters Anna David, Helen Zawilinski, Mary Kurek and Agnes Bell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 30th at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish (Corpus Christi Church), 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church.

Burial with military honors will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. There are no calling hours. For online expressions of sympathy to the family, please visit www.
