Obituary of John Sedberry John Carson Sedberry, age 73, of Mt. Gilead, passed Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh, NC, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Sedberry was born June 20, 1945 in Troy, the son of the late Paul Sedberry, and the late Evelyn Thompson Sedberry.

He was self- employed as a Broker for heavy equipment. He was a member of Bassmaster’s Club in Monroe, Corporate Pilot for Dickerson Corporation for 20 years, in Monroe, NC. He was also a flight instructor, who was adventurous, outgoing, and enjoyed fishing, skydiving, flying, and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife: Bobbie M. Sedberry; two daughters: Dr. Sherry Ross and husband Dennis of Mebane, NC and Tina Carlton of Mebane, NC; one step-son: Mark Morgan and wife Sherri of Stanfield, NC; one sister: Dianna Langston and husband Tom of Gillette, WY; two brothers: Tony Sedberry and wife Brenda of Mt. Gilead, NC; Danny Sedberry and wife Peggy Sue of Mt. Gilead, NC; grandchildren: Carson Ross, Kirsten Carlton, Karis Carlton, and Kaylan Carlton, all of Mebane, NC.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm at Southside Baptist Church, 125 Cedar Creek Rd. , Biscoe, NC. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm with the Rev.

Jamie Sink and Tony Sedberry officiating. Burial will be in the Sedberry Family Cemetery, Hallyburton Rd. , Mt.

Gilead, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 125 Cedar Creek Rd. , Biscoe, NC 27209 and Gideons International, PO Box 103, Troy, NC 27371.
