Passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at the age of 72 years. The son of the late Francis and Josephine (Willis) McMahon was born on March 28, 1946 in Merrill, MI where he grew up and resided until 1973 when he moved to the Traverse City area. He worked as a builder.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, reading and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his children: Jason McMahon, Tracy (Levi) Stubbs, grandchildren: Gideon Stubbs, Gemma Stubbs, his siblings: Daniel (Laura) McMahon, Timothy (Helen) McMahon, Donald McMahon, Robert McMahon, Jerry McMahon, Mary Jo McMahon, Brian (Frank Duffy) McMahon, best friend and brother-in law Jeff Lutzke, former wife and mother of his children Laura Graham, and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Jack was predeceased by his siblings: Tom McMahon, Bill McMahon, Dean McMahon and Kathleen (Sam) Benjamin.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel in Merrill. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
