It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Johnnie Pearl Poulos on September 13th, 2018, at the age of 88 after a long and fulfilling life. Guided by love and selfless devotion to her family, Ms. Poulos leaves behind a legacy of the true meaning of motherhood. Ms. Poulos was born in Atlanta on January 14th, 1930.

Ms. Poulos was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral and spent many years in charge of the Nursey at the Cathedral. Ms. Poulos is survived by her seven children: Floy Inez Poulos, Angela Fairbanks, George Nick Poulos III, Mary Williams, John Nick Poulos, Katherine Poulos Papanikolopoulos, and Helen Aleman. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The Trisagion Prayer Service will be held on Monday, September 17th, at A.S. Turner & Sons, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, Georgia, 30033, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018 @ 11:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral located at 2500 Clairmont Rd, Atlanta, GA 30329. Internment will be at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens, located @ 699 American Legion Rd NE, Conyers, GA 30012.

A traditional “Makaria” Meal will be served at the Thalia N. Carlos Hellenic Community Center located at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral following the Internment. May Her Memory Be Eternal!
